Why GIS is important ?

If there is no Google Map, we might have difficulty finding our destination.

A lot of research has been done on GIS, which is especially important in social and environmental sciences.

We use GIS to map any poor area on the island of Sumatra in Indonesia. The brighter the color indicates the area has a high percentage of poor people, whereas the darker color indicates a low percentage of poverty.
